I looked out the kitchen window this afternoon to see a robin in mid-splish-splash.
Just as the last blooms of Iris ‘Peggy Sue’ faded, the white peonies began to bloom. Right when they reached their peak, the David Austin ‘Heritage’ English Rose started her first bloom flush.
This is going to be a good year for the garden. I can feel it.
I don’t recall seeing this one bloom last spring, but I could be mistaken.
My brief research suggests that this iris might be ‘Stepping Out’, but it’s next to impossible to identify a No-ID iris.
Irises and peonies have to be two of my favorite flowers — even more so because the deer don’t eat them!
