I bought seeds for this Mirabilis jalapa ‘Alba’ (White-Flowered Four-o’Clock) from Hayefield last January.
It’s technically an annual in Zone 6, but freely reseeds itself (as evidenced by its presence in my garden this year).
Dear Connor,
When you were an infant, I would write one of these Dear Connor blog entries every month, to record your milestones and capture the moments that I knew would go by so fast. After you turned three, I started only writing these entries twice a year, on your birthday and on your half-birthday. Once you turned seven, the updates became yearly; and once the pandemic happened, they kind of stopped entirely.
Which is really too bad, because you certainly haven’t stopped changing.
My family wanted Halftime Pizza (@HTPizzaToledo) for dinner so bad, we ordered via DoorDash at 4:30pm! We watched our order status on the app—then our order was cancelled. Weird. So we reordered and waited again… same thing. Now we’re hangry and pizzaless. So pissed.
Having a tween boy apparently means having to specify exactly how one washes one’s armpits.
One bummer about leaving my phone at home when I go running? No post-run selfies.
The next Apple Watch I buy needs to have a front-facing camera. Just sayin’.
