trying not to kill the beautiful things
The hydrangea paniculata (I suspect it’s Limelight, but I’m not positive) is coming into bloom.
My son is pretending the daylily is a fire flower from Super Mario Bros. Here, he’s shooting fireballs at a hydrangea across the yard.
This month’s Bloom Day in Zone 6 features many more daylilies than I ever realized I had — so, about four, spread all about the property in unexpected places, as the previous owner was wont to do. Perhaps the deer repellant is working, or perhaps the mild winter helped coax some more blooms out?
